CRABTREE NEWS

We were truly amazed, and a little scared, at the amount of children who turned up to our Halloween Disco in fancy dress.  From blood stained surgeons to the odd clown, a lot of thought had gone in to dressing up for this very special occasion.

For the first time we welcomed DJ Binz UK who got us all up and doing some rather spooky dance moves to some well known tunes.  Not many people can say they have seen a ghost and a mummy dancing to the YMCA but all those who attended last nights spooktacular event can now do just that!

On behalf of the children and the Parents' Group we would like to say a massive thank you to DJ Binz UK. If you would like more information about him please visit

Today we said a sad goodbye to Mr Hutton who has been with us for just over a year.

Mr Hutton has been a key part of our team in the short space of time he has been here.  From working one on one with individual children to being part of our P.E Team, Mr Hutton has proved himself to be popular amongst pupils and staff alike.

Mr Hutton leaves us to work in another setting and we wish him well for the future.

The children at Crabtree Farm are involved in all the growing and harvesting of the vegetables we grow. They also help to plant and look after the flowers around school.

Green Team meet every week and do lots of work too.  We also have two very special members of Green Team! Nicole and Annmarie work really hard every week completing a long list of jobs that Miss Walton gives them! They do the jobs that are too difficult or dangerous for the children to do. This includes clearing the planters of weeds and composting large amounts of fruit waste, plus much much more. Miss Walton really appreciates all the work they do for school and couldn't do her job without them.

Thank you Nicole and Annmarie.

We would like to start our first newsletter of this academic year by saying a huge thank you to all those who attended our annual Macmillan Coffee Event last month.

We are delighted to announce that together we managed to raise an impressive £1617.85 for a cause that is close to all our hearts.

We were recently informed that, including this year, we have managed to raise a massive £7551 over the past few years.

Keep up the good work Crabtree!
