The tissues were on hand this morning for what was a very emotional Year 6 Graduation Ceremony. We are, quite rightly, extremely proud of what these very special young people have achieved during their time with us and we know they will continue to make their new teachers feel exactly the same way as they continue along the academic path to secondary school.
Good luck Year 6 from all the staff here at Crabtree. Be sure to visit us and let us know how you're progressing.
It is that time of year again where we have to say goodbye to people whose time at Crabtree as come to an end. Mr Edis will be leaving us after what's been an amazing ten years teaching the children of Crabtree. Mr Edis first came to what was Bonington Junior School as a student but later returned as a teacher.
We are sure you will join us in wishing Mr Edis well in his new role.
Some people will try and tell you that the biggest football event this year was the World Cup in Russia, this is in fact fake news! 2018's biggest football event was obviously Crabtree Farm's Pupils vs Teachers game which took place last night on our school field.
Eight brave teachers requested permission from their person with parental responsibility and arrived dressed in their freshly washed football kits to face the formidable Crabtree Farm Pupils in a winner takes all match.
The game started quite rapidly with Edis, Ward, Harper, Provines, Jones, Kiggins, Calton and White appearing to have turned up hoping to take part in a knobbly knees competition rather than a key game of football. The first goal went to the teachers as Kiggins fired home a brilliant shot in the left corner of the opposing goal. By half time the teachers were leading 3-1 thanks to the fancy footwork of Jones.
When the 2nd half began the pupils came out fighting and were soon leading 3-4 thanks to their...

We all like to be told when we do something well, and the staff here at Crabtree Farm Primary School are no different, so when we received this email from someone who visits school regularly we all felt very proud of ourselves and our school.
"I just wanted to email you and let you know how amazing I found the events at the school on Tuesday the 3rd of July. I was there for almost all of ‘Crabtree’s Got Talent’ and I thought it was amazing! The opportunity given to the children that wouldn’t feel as confident in other circumstances to come out of their shell and perform in front of all the school was incredible. Also the carnival and the fair looked great as well. I just think Crabtree is an amazing school and the things you do with the children that attend are fantastic. All credit to you".
Reading messages like this makes all the work we put into extra curricular activities worthwhile and we feel it is important to thank the sender for bringing a smile to all our faces.
Our Parents' Group set themselves the challenge of putting on the biggest Summer Fayre Crabtree has ever seen and they certainly achieved that by raising an impressive £1000 in total!
The weather was of course on our side, but the Summer Fayre wouldn't have been the success it was if it wasn't for the many stall holders who joined us for this very special community event so a big thank you goes to them.
Our Parents Group work untiringly on our behalf, raising money to help us provide the children with the amazing experiences that Crabtree is famous for. We value their immense contribution towards our school and would like to thank them for their amazing support throughout this year and look forward to more fundraising frenzies next year!
Please note that Crabtree Farm Primary School and Early Years Centre will be CLOSED on Thursday 12th & Friday 13th July for Staff Training. Please make alternate provision for your child for the day. The school will re-open to pupils on Monday 16th July.
