After first joining us last year, the notorious Christmas hating Grinch once again joined our Year 3 children for their Christmas dinner and showed how much he has embraced the Christmas spirit that Crabtree is famous for.
It would appear that the Grinch truly did manage to ward of the anti Christmas sentiment - like we previously thought - and that his heart really did grow three times it's normal size!
We look forward to welcoming the Grinch again in another twelve months.
Today was our Christmas Dinner and the hall was set out beautifully for the occasion. We were fortunate enough to be joined by loads of special guests including: Parents/Carers, Grandparents, Governors and visitors from the Local Authority.
A huge thank you goes to those of you who joined us for this special occasion. It was nice to see so many families sitting down eating together.
Once again this year, our fantastic choir and area band children took part in an amazing performance at Nottingham Music Hub's Christmas in the City Concert at the Royal Concert Hall. Children from schools across the city were involved in a wonderful night of live music, and we felt honoured to be asked to participate in an event that showcases some of the best young musical talent Nottingham has to offer.
As always, the children were a credit to Crabtree and we are sure all of
you who purchased tickets will agree that they did themselves and our school proud.
Our annual Christmas Carol Concert is being held at St. Mary's Church on Tuesday 18th December 2018. The children in Classes 1 to 12 will be taking part and we are inviting everyone to come and join in.
The children will leave school at 10:30am. They will need to wear a coat and sensible footwear. If you wish to join us please meet us at the church for 11:00am.
If you do not wish for your child to attend please could you inform their class teacher in writing, by Monday 17th December 2018.
Our recent Christmas Fayre was an amazing success and we would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who came along to join in the festive fun. It was another fantastic event organised by our Parents' Group, who managed to raise an impressive £670 pounds for their funds.
This dedicated group of people are unwavering in their support for our school and we'd like to congratulate them on yet another successful year of fundraising for Crabtree Farm. The contribution they make to the school lives of our pupils is invaluable and we can't wait to continue with the fundraising fun in the new year.
A big thank you must also go to Santa Claus who heard it was our Christmas Fayre and took time out of his busy schedule to join in the festivities. On behalf of all the children and staff at Crabtree we would like to wish him well with his Christmas deliveries.
Christmas is almost here and as usual parents are invited to come into school and have Christmas dinner with the children. The dinner will be a traditional Christmas lunch with crackers.
If you would like to join us please come to the office to order and pay for it. A school dinner and pudding costs £2.55 per adult. Please note that there are a limited number of places, so spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please say when ordering if you have any dietary requirements.
If your child usually has packed lunches but you would like them to have a Christmas dinner the cost will be £2.05 per child.
(Unless your child is already entitled to free meals).
Marvellous Moons and Shooting Stars children don’t usually have a school dinner, however if you would like to bring your child and have Christmas dinner with them they would be welcome and the above costs would apply.
