It is that time of year again where we invite all the special grownups in our lives to come and have a Mother's Day Breakfast with us and we were truly delighted to see so many smiling faces sitting down to celebrate this very special occasion together.
We would like to wish you all a very Happy Mother's Day on behalf of everyone at Crabtree Farm and we must also say a massive thank you to all those who made today happen.
Over the weekend, have a go at hard boiling an egg with an adult and decorating it. Bring it into school on Monday 1st April and it will be judged on the morning of Wednesday 3rd April. Please ensure entries are in by the morning.
On Wednesday, each class, will be taking part in an Easter Egg Hunt with their class teacher. Good luck to everyone.
On Thursday, there will be the Easter Disco with an Easter Bonnet Parade with prizes. Get your tickets this week, sold in the office area before and after school.
Today the children and staff at Crabtree Farm got behind the Red Nose Day Conk Jester and raised a lot of money for Comic Relief. The fundraising frenzy kicked off very early this morning at Breakfast Club where Minnie Mouse, a few scientists and the odd pirate were spotted tucking into a slice of toast!
For one day only the school uniform was abandoned in favour of fancy dress costumes and we would like to say a massive thank you to the grownups out there who must have worked tirelessly on the fantastic costumes that were on display today.
We haven’t finished the count yet, but so far together we have managed to raise an amazing £800 pounds for this fantastic cause and we couldn’t have achieved this without the support of all of you. You should all be very proud of the difference your donations will make to the lives of people both in the UK and worldwide.
Our fantastic Parents' Group are in the process of arranging a trip to West Midlands Safari Park on Saturday 22nd June 2019 for parents / carers and children here at Crabtree Farm Primary school.

If you are interested in coming with us on this exciting trip, please return the slip sent home with your child
by Friday the 15th March, indicating how many tickets you would like.
A non-refundable deposit of £5 per person would be payable by the beginning of April with two further instalments at the start of May and June.
Well it's Shrove Tuesday again and that can only mean one thing! It is time for Mrs Beard to get out all the pancake ingredients and begin a marathon morning of flipping pancakes.
The excited children knew what ingredients they needed to make the perfect pancake, and after washing their hands they sat down to mix all the ingredients together. Once this was complete and Mrs Beard had worked her magic the children had to decide what topping to add to their tasty treat and golden syrup was a popular choice.
