On Thursday 3rd of April we ran our first whole school Handwriting Competition. The children were asked to write in their neatest handwriting a poem about Easter. All children took part, and a prize of a chocolate Easter egg for the best handwriting in each class was given out. There were lots of neat entries.
The winners were displayed in assembly and are now on display on our Crabtree BRAVO board. At Crabtree Farm Primary school we follow the PENPALS for Handwriting scheme. If you would like a copy of how handwriting should look in your child/s class please see your child/s teacher or speak to Lynne Bloomfield - Handwriting Coordinator.
Once again our Easter Egg competition proved very popular and the entries brought in to school were fantastic. It was clear that our pupils and their families had put a lot of effort into the designs and choosing the winners was a very difficult task indeed! As well as this, we also had our Easter Egg Hunt and we must congratulate everyone who took part in the eggcellent Easter fun we’ve experienced at Crabtree this week.
We are sad to announce that after an impressive 17 years here at Crabtree Farm Primary School that Mrs Spendlove is leaving us to spend more time with her family. Mrs Spendlove joined us in 2002 as a Teaching Assistant in the then Bonington Junior School and became popular with both children and parents alike. We are sure you will join us in wishing Mrs Spendlove all the best for the future.
