Pupils with special educational needs are welcome at Crabtree Farm Primary School.
From September, I will be taking over the role of Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) from Mrs Baldwin. During lockdown, Mrs Baldwin has been helping me to develop all the new skills needed for this role. Mrs Baldwin has done an amazing job but is relocating to France! We wish her all the best in her new adventure, and we look forward to her termly visits.
As you know, I have been teaching at Crabtree for 10 years and have had the privilege of working with children across different year groups giving me lots of experience. A key part of my new role is to coordinate the provision for children with special educational needs. This will involve me working closely with children, families, and school staff to make sure every child has the best chance to succeed at Crabtree. Please do get in touch if you have any worries or concerns, or if you just want to talk something through. I am a parent myself, with two young children and so know all about the thrills and the challenges that parenthood brings!
Please do come and introduce yourself - it would be great to meet as many of you as possible!
Mrs Robinson works within the SEND department and has many years of experience both working at Crabtree Farm Primary, and working with children who need additional support.
If you have a child with special educational needs or you have any concerns we are happy to talk to you about that. We work alongside persons with parental responsibility to ensure that their child is happy at school and that they are able to achieve to their maximum potential.
We celebrate the achievement of all pupils. However for pupils who have either a disability or a significantly greater difficulty in learning than the majority of others, their achievements are particularly special and we both recognise and celebrate those.
