Pupils with special educational needs are welcome at Crabtree Farm Primary School.
Mrs Andrews is the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo) and is assisted by Mrs Robinson. They both have many years experience teaching children with a wide range of learning abilities and needs.
Mrs Andrews and Mrs Robinson work with staff across school to make sure that there is a holistic approach to meeting the needs of all children. Every child is valued for their individual abilities and talents in all areas, and these are celebrated across school.
As always, there is an open-door policy to discuss your child’s special educational needs and how, as a school, we can support your child’s learning. The first point of contact to discuss your child’s needs should be the class teacher.
Due to the global pandemic, Mrs Andrews and Mrs Robinson are available by phone if you want to pass on any specific information about your child or if you would like a longer appointment this can be made through the school office or though the class teacher.
If you would like further information about our provision for children with special educational needs please view our school Information Report and Local Offer, which provides links to outside agencies and support services and Nottingham's Local offer
If you have a child with special educational needs or you have any concerns we are happy to talk to you about that. We work alongside persons with parental responsibility to ensure that their child is happy at school and that they are able to achieve to their maximum potential.
We celebrate the achievement of all pupils. However for pupils who have either a disability or a significantly greater difficulty in learning than the majority of others, their achievements are particularly special and we both recognise and celebrate those.
