This year for Bulwell Arts Festival, and as part of the Bulwell Creative Schools Network, we teamed up with City Arts Nottingham to create a collaborative art project using recycled materials. Each school worked with a commissioned artist who curated a front-facing, public installation based around the theme of blossoming flowers, nature, biodiversity and giving thanks whilst emerging from the pandemic.
The installations were released to the public for the week of the Bulwell Arts Festival and communities were encouraged to get out on foot to visit the other school’s work. The children really enjoyed creating some wonderful, colourful art work including flowers and butterflies, using the recycled materials they had collected from home. We hope you managed to enjoy it with your families during the festival.
